Add reviewers and create review files
Overview
Review files allow you to share a controlled version of a working paper file with an external reviewer.
A reviewer can view the shared review file, open documents, download a package where allowed and add review points or comments based on their access.
Add a reviewer
- Open Reviewers.
- Click New Reviewer.
- Enter the reviewer name and email address.
- Save the reviewer.
- Send an invitation if required.
If the reviewer already has an account, they can sign in to the reviewer portal using their existing details.
Create a review file
- Open the working paper file.
- Make sure the tree and documents are ready for review.
- Exclude any nodes that should not be shared.
- Open the review file creation page.
- Select the reviewer and review file options.
- Create the review file.
What reviewers can do
Depending on settings, reviewers can:
- View the tree snapshot
- Preview documents
- Add review points
- Mark points as needing clearing
- View author comments
- Download the review package
Important notes
Review files are controlled snapshots. If the main file changes later, you may need to create or share an updated review file.
