Link other tree nodes in comments and review points
Overview
Comments and review points can include links to other tree nodes. This is useful when one section refers to evidence or work stored in another section.
Insert a node reference using @
- Place the cursor in the comment or review point text box.
- Type @.
- Start typing the node name.
- Choose the node from the filtered list.
- The node reference is inserted into the text.
Insert using the button
Where available, click the tree/link button beside the comment box to insert a tree node reference.
What happens when clicked
When a user clicks the node link, the app opens or selects that tree node so the related area can be reviewed quickly.
Where node links can be used
Node links can be used in:
- Comments
- Review points
- Replies
They are not intended for every note. Use them when a clear relationship exists between sections.
Tips
- Use node links to avoid vague comments like “see other section”.
- Link directly to the relevant node.
- Keep the comment readable even if the user does not click the link.
