File Explorer layout
Overview
File Explorer is the main working screen for a working paper file. It is split into three main areas.
Left panel: Toolbox and Tree
The left panel contains:
- Tree node search
- Expand all and collapse all controls
- Hide not applicable option
- Tree node title box
- Selected node label
- Tree structure
- Toolbar buttons for node actions
Use this panel to create, rename, move, flag, delete and organise file sections.
Middle panel: Document preview
The middle panel shows:
- Upload controls
- Add text document
- Add Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint document
- Readiness and completion controls
- Document preview
- Document action buttons such as open, edit, email, download or delete
This panel changes depending on the selected tree node and selected document.
Right panel: Review points
The right panel shows:
- Comments
- Review points
- Author comments
- Replies
- Filter options
- Add comment or review point button
The panel can be collapsed when more space is needed.
Tips
- Select a tree node before uploading documents.
- Use the preview panel to check documents without leaving the file.
- Collapse panels when you need more screen space.
- Use search when the tree has many nodes.
