Overview

Export allows you to create a package of a working paper file for sharing, archiving or external review.

The export can include the tree structure, documents and relevant review information depending on the export process.

Exclude nodes from export

Use Exclude from Export when a node should remain in the live file but should not be included in the exported package.

If a parent node is excluded, its child nodes may also be excluded depending on the app behaviour.

How to mark a node as excluded

  1. Select the node.
  2. Click Exclude from Export.
  3. The node icon changes to show that it is excluded.

Click the button again to include the node back in export.

Before exporting

Check:

  • The correct file is open.
  • Sensitive nodes are excluded.
  • Documents are uploaded to the correct nodes.
  • Review points and comments are appropriate for the export.
  • The file status is correct.

Tips

  • Use exclusion instead of deleting nodes when information should stay in the internal file.
  • Review the export before sending it externally.
  • Keep a backup if the export is important.
