View Verification Request — End-User Help
Overview
This page shows a single verification request (the message sent to a referee), its delivery and response history, auto-reminder activity, and administrative review controls.
Use it to inspect the request and the form preview, save review notes/status, resend the request, print the request and response as a record, or permanently archive/delete when required.
Quick start
- Confirm you are viewing the correct verification request (check Request ID and Candidate).
- Review the preview of the reference form to see exactly what the referee received.
- Inspect Delivery and Timestamps to see send/open/click events and reminder activity.
- Add review notes and set Review Status, then Save to record your review.
- Use Resend to send the request again (a confirmation dialog appears).
- Click Print to create a printable record of the request and any referee response.
Top-level page areas
- Header & actions — Print and Resend actions at the top. Resend opens a confirm dialog before triggering.
- Status banner — shows a concise visual status (e.g., Completed / Pending / In Progress).
- Review section — add internal review notes and select a review status, then Save. A separate view shows saved review summary with an Edit link.
- Basic & Snapshots — read-only identifiers, candidate/reference snapshots, and the form used.
- Delivery & Timestamps — channel, recipient, provider, sent/delivered/open/click/start/completion times (UTC).
- Policy & Token — reminder count, last reminder sent, reminder policy, included keys, token and expiry.
- Auto Reminders — list of scheduled/executed reminders, status, retry counts and last error. If none exist, an empty-state message appears.
- Preview & Referee Response — form preview (what was sent) + read-only answers (if completed).
- Audit — created/updated metadata and row version (concurrency support).
Common tasks — step-by-step
Save a review
- Enter review notes and choose the desired review status.
- Click Save. The page records the change in audit metadata.
Resend a request
- Click Resend → confirm in the popup.
- The server reissues the request and Delivery/Timestamps and reminder counters update on success.
Print the request + response
- Click Print. A new window opens with the request, preview and any response, formatted for printing.
- Use browser Print to produce paper/PDF output. Printed output includes a “Printed:” timestamp.
Inspect delivery issues
- Review Auto Reminders list and the “Last error” column for delivery failures/bounce reasons.
- Check provider message IDs and retry counts.
Important behaviours & notes
- Preview is read-only and shows the snapshot as sent (not editable here).
- Resend triggers a server action — confirm recipient and form before resending.
- Auto reminders display attempts and statuses; scheduling/max retries are controlled by system policy.
- Timestamps are shown in UTC — convert to local time as needed.
- Audit metadata is preserved for traceability (who/when).
Validation, errors & expected messages
- Resend or Save may fail due to permission, provider, or business rules.
- Errors show in the top error panel — copy exact text when contacting support.
- If resend is blocked because recipient completed or token expired, the server returns an explanatory error. Refresh after resolving.
Troubleshooting
No response shown but referee says they replied
Confirm completion timestamp and check response area. If still missing, contact support with Request ID and recipient.
Resend button does nothing
Ensure JavaScript is enabled and confirm dialog opens. If server does not send, capture error text from the error panel.
Wrong preview or old form shown
Preview shows the snapshot that was sent. If the form has changed since, the snapshot will not update. The preview always reflects what the referee received at send time.
Accessibility & keyboard
- All controls support keyboard navigation (Tab / Shift+Tab).
- Dialogs (Resend confirm and Print preview) can be closed with Escape.
- Status/error panels are text-based; toast uses
aria-live="polite".
Security & privacy
- Only authorised users should Resend or Delete requests (server enforces permissions).
- Do not print or share responses unless lawful and approved. Responses often contain personal data; handle per retention policy.
What to provide to support
Provide:
- Request ID and Candidate name
- exact error message from error panel
- time of the action and what you attempted (Resend / Save review / Delete / Print)
- screenshot showing error/timestamps/reminder entries
Short FAQ
Q: Will printing expose previously redacted data?
A: Print output mirrors what is shown on the page. If personal data is visible, it will appear in print.
Q: Can I resend to multiple addresses at once?
A: No — this view resends a single verification request. Use list/bulk workflows for bulk operations.
Q: Why does the page show a different form than the editor?
A: The preview is a snapshot saved at send time. Later edits do not change past snapshots.
