Tips and best practices
Choose the business code carefully
Use a short code that is easy to recognise later.
Double-check the business name
Because the business name is important, review the spelling and formatting before saving.
Keep the billing address accurate
Incorrect billing details can cause invoice or tax issues later.
Use a shared business email where appropriate
This helps make sure important notifications are visible to the right people.
Upload a clear logo
If you add a logo, use a clean image that represents the business professionally.
Use the business note for internal context
Store useful internal information that may help other administrators manage the business correctly.
Troubleshooting
A required field is missing
Check that all required fields have been completed, especially:
- business type
- business code
- business name
- address
- business email
Then try saving again.
The business code is already in use
Choose a different business code and try again.
The business name looks wrong after saving
Review the business details carefully before saving, especially the business name, as important business information should be confirmed before submission.
The logo upload failed
Try:
- using a smaller image
- using PNG or JPEG format
- enabling image resizing if available
- uploading again from a different browser if needed
If it still fails, note the file name and approximate size before contacting support.
The page seemed stuck after clicking Add Business
Wait a few moments to allow the page to finish processing.
If needed, refresh carefully and check whether the business was already created before submitting again.
The business was created but is not showing elsewhere
Refresh the next page you are using, such as subscriptions or apps, and check again.
In some cases there may be a short delay before the new business appears in all areas.
